Description
SAIC is seeking a passionate and skilled Software Development Team Lead to join our high-performing development team. This position is supporting the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program. (This position is 100% remote position and does not have an onsite requirement).
AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.
Job Duties:
Design, implement, and maintain Mid-large scale, complex applications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Collaborate with product leaders, architects, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligning with client objectives and goals.
Interface with the government customer with respect to project requirements, software design and development, test, and associated contract deliverable.
Manage client expectations in daily interactions and sprint planning and review.
Plan and execute sprint planning and review session.
Building and configuring application.
Communicating client specifications to project quality standards.
Assisting with application troubleshooting and debugging.
Keeping projects on schedule to meet deadlines.
Educating junior developers on best practices.
Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring development teams.
Ability to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications and services.
Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's and nine (9) years, Master's and seven (7) years experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
Must be US Citizen and currently possess a Secret Clearance.
Experience with web applications including front end development, consuming and developing REST APIs.
Experience using frontend frameworks (Angular, Redux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
Experience with server side technologies ( Node.js, PHP, Apache HTTP Server).
Experience working Docker, and cloud environments.
Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) Databases.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Record Stores (LRS), including work with modern learning technology protocols (SCORM, xAPI, cmi5).
Familiarity with all or some of the following tools: Moodle, Big Blue Button, Rustici, IntelliBoard.
Experience leading and/or managing a team of software developers.
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
