SAIC Security Assessment Manager in REMOTE WORK, Texas

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Assessment Manager to lead our security assessment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and conducting comprehensive security assessments while overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing assessment projects.

Acting as a liaison between project management, the assessment team, and the client, they will review assessment status, manage schedules, and prepare status reports. This position involves assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals. It includes developing monitoring mechanisms for assessment progress and problem-solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

The role ensures that contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being met and involves defining and implementing project planning techniques. Additionally, the Security Assessment Manager will continuously improve assessment methodologies and processes to enhance the effectiveness of the security assessment program. They will work closely with various departments to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the organization's information systems and data.

Additional responsibilities may include developing assessment schedules for a portion of a program, establishing program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans.

This role is 100% remote!

Essential duties of this position include:

· Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing assessment projects

· Serve as a liaison between project management, planning, project teams, and line management

· Review the status of assessments; manage schedules and prepare status reports

· Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals

· Develop mechanisms for monitoring assessment progress and for intervention and problem-solving

· Ensure contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are accomplished

· Define and implement project planning techniques

· Develop budgets and schedules to meet contractual and project requirements

· Participate in establishing and defining program plan requirements

· Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

· A bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience is required; additional years of experience can be substituted for education (i.e. an associate’s and 17 years of experience.)

· Experience facilitating effective meetings across various levels of an organization and promoting cross-functional collaboration.

· Advanced knowledge and application of facilitation techniques tailored to project needs.

· Candidates must be able to pass a CJIS Criminal Justice background investigation and maintain CJIS clearance throughout employment term.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel

Required Experience :

· Demonstrated experience in managing operational aspects of projects, including budget and schedule management

· Experience acting as a liaison between different stakeholders such as project management, planning teams, and line management

· Ability to assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet goals

· Experience in ensuring contract requirements and managing subcontractor responsibilities

· Experience in developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and reporting performance

· Experience with running and completing assessments, to include security assessments

· Complete understanding and wide application of security industry principles, concepts, practices, and standards

Preferred Experience:

· Handling developing solutions to moderately complex problems by referring to policies, procedures, and industry best practices

· Working under general direction with the ability to independently determine and develop solutions

· Experience influencing overall objectives and long-range goals of an organization

· Experience representing an organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects, often requiring coordination between organizations and interaction with senior internal and external personnel

· Experience administering company policies that directly affect employees and recommending changes to team policies

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

· Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX).

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
