Ameresco Senior Project Manager in Remote, Virginia

Ameresco has a new opportunity based in Virginia for a Senior Project Manager to join our Construction Team in support of the final design, construction, and successful implementation of multimillion-dollar energy efficiency projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily construction, administrative, and technical management of renewables construction projects delivering energy savings for public, institutional, government and commercial customers.

  • Assist management as required with project accounting, budgeting, project schedule and tracking, reporting quality management, and internal communications.

  • Ensure compliance with Company’s financial policies and procedures to include revenue recognition policies and project set up rules. Serve and assist as a liaison between the business office and operations.

  • Direct interface with Ameresco customers: managing customer service, relationships, and contractual obligations.

  • Assist the Engineering and Development team with the in-project design and development including scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation and project scheduling.

  • Regularly monitor assigned project performance and cost estimates to forecast estimates through to project completion for reasonableness against plans and actual expense rate.

  • Review subcontractor and vendor bids solicited by the team to help establish scope, schedule, and timely delivery for all project related materials, equipment, and construction services.

  • Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality control and project delivery is on-time and on-budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

  • Directly manage construction managers (site supervisors) as assigned to ensure quality control, project delivery on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

  • Maintain and update project schedules to reflect current information, monitor critical path activities and tracking of outstanding items.

  • Provide a detailed 2-week look forward schedule to facilitate customer coordination and planning.

  • Managing project expenditures and job cost accounting processes: including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, monthly forecasting and tracking.

  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, customer, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.

  • Travel as required.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 10 years industrial power, electrical, mechanical, or engineering construction project management experience focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Fully proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project. Experience using Procore software is preferred.

  • Completion or progress toward engineering, technical, or industry-related education preferred.

  • Demonstrated work experience with several of the following energy efficiency disciplines - direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technology, warranty and service requirements preferred.

  • Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.

  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.

  • Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state.
