What You Can Expect

The role will be a strategic business leader and key member of the leadership team for global Corporate Functions. The role is responsible for improving business performance, driving profitable and sustainable growth and cash generation through influencing and guiding decision making across the business. The role serves as a key partner with the Controllership and FP&A functions to set the overall financial strategy, monitor/drive financial performance and maintain an effective internal controller environment.

How You'll Create Impact

Face of Finance

• Serves as the “Face of Finance” for the Corporate Functions (HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Communications, and Strategy).

• Supports teams with significant/ ad-hoc issues, that cannot be resolved through standard operating procedures.

• Conduct Business Leaders needs analysis: Proactively engage with Business Leaders to understand their requirements, pain points, and goals. Conduct in-depth needs analysis to identify areas where Finance can add value and address their specific challenges.

• P&L ownership in working alongside the Business Leaders to achieve the P&L targets, by developing robust driver-based top-line, resourcing, financial and ROI models and driving key operational initiatives to achieve financial business objectives.

• Build an in-depth understanding of the ZB Growth Model (including, pricing, sales channels, Working Capital management, capital decisions, M&A, etc.) and make strategic suggestions for how to prioritize and adapt growth levers to be most effective for the business.

• Work closely with FP&A function to forecast and manage results, improve transparency, and maintain a single source of the truth amongst all stakeholders.

• Provide business recommendations by using clear and effective presentation and communication.

• Create and communicate presentations that engage and effectively story tell, to allow stakeholders to make effective decisions.

Results Driven

• Drives accountability for business financial performance and serves as a strategic advisor to key business stakeholders.

• Reviews management reporting outputs with business leaders

• Reviews and finalizes long-range plan with business.

• Analyze monthly and quarterly results and communicate messages to senior management (finance and non/finance), including management reports packages, risks and opportunity assessment, business trends and make recommendations to help improve the business’ growth and profitability.

Continuous Improvement

• Continually assesses opportunities to improve Business Partner delivery, optimize talent and leverage technology to improve efficiencies.

• Bring a continuous improvement mindset, consistently evaluating current processes/procedures and seeking opportunities to improve efficiency.

• Create, track and refine Finance KPIs into relevant key metrics to drive in-depth modeling and analysis, build and maintain KPI dashboards and reports to provide insight and transparency into performance; review these dashboards regularly with Business Leaders and flag any potential negative leading indicators for slowing growth, lagging margins or other revenue quality issues.

• Perform Financial scenario modeling and build business cases for ROI, resource allocation, price volume, etc.

• Stay informed about market and economic trends: Stay up to date with the latest trends, innovations, and best practices. Leverage this knowledge to anticipate market changes and provide valuable insights to Business Leaders.

Your Background

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent and 10+ years of applicable experience OR

  • Associate’s degree and 8+ years of applicable experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of applicable experience

  • Strong business partnering experience

  • Strategic planning and negotiation skills

  • Ability to inspire confidence with key stakeholders

  • Hyperion experience

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree.

  • 8+ years of experience in a finance related role, and 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Medical device experience

Travel Expectations

Up to 10%

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $180,000
