HR Manager, UK & Ireland position will provide a unique opportunity for the HR professional looking for a new challenge. You will be responsible for all HR core services in UK & Ireland, plus partnering with the corporate centers of excellence to drive global functions such as talent management, compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development, and analytics. You will have the opportunity to work with talented colleagues and senior leaders within our organization. Your days will be diverse and challenging.

HR Manager position will be based in Dublin, Ireland, reporting to the Director, Colleague Relations Success, EMEA.

The Day-to-Day:

This role will design and/improve existing HR processes to foster constructive employee relations and ensure Bentleys' approach to its colleagues is fair, respectful and consistent. This person needs to have a passion for delving into the complexities of employee relations, legal guidelines and compliance regulations, helping distill them into layperson’s terms, and translating them into business process and system requirements. They will drive projects from start to finish, working collaboratively with other CS team members spread across the globe.

There is a need to have superior verbal and written communication skills and they will be successful in influencing leaders and aligning with partners on compliance priorities, explaining the key legal and business requirements in compliance remediation projects, in developing clear and concise training and enablement materials, and in reporting on the results of monitoring and auditing existing processes. The need is to bring rigor, innovation, and operational excellence to everything that they do.

To be successful in this role, the HR Manager, (UK & Ireland / Continental Europe) will need to be:

Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the HR Manager/ Lead for the region providing guidance and counsel to managers and colleagues on employee relations issues and workplace practices.

  • Identify emerging HR-related compliance requirements and prioritize them in coordination with the business and legal partners.

  • Track industry best practices related to key HR processes, evaluate and improve existing practices to introduce new HR-related compliance requirements.

  • Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant employment regulations.

  • Coaching, counseling, and partnering with management in all areas of ER, with special expertise in guiding managers through the evaluation and investigation of colleague performance issues.

  • Managing case work end to end covering settlements, PIPs, absence management and all aspects of grievance and disciplinaries (investigations, hearings, mediations, appeals, terminations) in line with legal requirements and company policy

  • Support business change activities e.g. restructuring, transfer (TUPE), redundancies and settlement/termination agreements.

  • Manage and/or contribute to special projects both ongoing/recurring, as needed.

  • Benchmark with other industry colleagues and professional organizations to keep abreast of trends in the industry and in compliance processes as well as current best practices/techniques.

  • Deeply partner with internal (or external when need be) Legal to obtain, synthesize and operationalize legal requirements.

  • Partner with Finance, IT, and compliance teams to understand requirements, assess gaps, align on priorities, design end to end controls, enable those impacted, and guide in the documentation of mitigation efforts.

  • Regularly meet with cross-functional colleagues to stay connected on themes, priorities, and developments.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in human resources /business or related field with six to eight years of experience in the field of HR (compliance, corporate employment law, or HR operations).

  • Excellent understanding and application of employment legislation with the ability to provide expert advice and coaching.

  • Experience tracking progress, results, findings and plans and report progress.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills across all levels of the Company, managing through influence, being comfortable in coaching, advising and influencing managers at all levels on ER and associated issues.

  • Ability to get things done – this position may not have direct reports, but most projects will involve working with the Colleague Support Services (CSS – HR shared services) team. Getting things done using the Colleague Success resources to make sure the projects are executed in a timely manner.

  • Experience supporting a global company and a growth mindset.

  • Proven success operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly evolving workplace.

  • Ability to simultaneously manage complex workloads, multiple projects, and shifting priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Proactive and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Sound, reasonable professional judgment and intuition for business.

  • Ability to see the big picture, while having a keen detail orientation.

  • Confidence in communicating process recommendations and findings in a diplomatic and effective manner to key partners with a solid understanding of business impact.

  • Openness to feedback, comfortable with direct, transparent communication

  • Ability and willingness to travel.
