Job Description

The role of Sales Manager – Wind & Renewables Services at GE Power Conversion is central to providing support solutions to our customers’ operations primarily in the Wind sector. You will bring a dynamic approach to customer sales, helping to meet customers’ current and future needs and create business growth opportunities both domestically and internationally.

In this role you will focus on:

  • Key Account Management and the ability to build accounts within the sector, mapping out their customer base without initial leads.

  • Sell the ‘total’ applicable service portfolio to clients who hold our installed base. Managing key opportunities to order closure, delivering a combination of short, medium- and longer- term orders to the business.

  • Establishment and further development of new business with clients who may not current hold our installed base.

  • Provide market intelligence, identifying new opportunities & potential solutions through customer interaction.

  • Understand the service offering ‘value propositions’ and how to communicate to clients through the sales teams’ proposals.

  • Providing inputs to the marketing function to develop market strategy and priorities that will support business growth.

  • Developing strong industry networks, including through attendance at industry events.

  • Regularly participate in sales campaigns, taking ownership of leads to develop new opportunities.

  • Covering a variety of service solutions, primarily in support of an installed base of power electronics equipment, drives, control, excitation systems & rotating machinery.

  • Regular weekly travelling to customer meetings in the UK, as well as international travel (primarily Nordic and NLD regions).

We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent qualifications / industry experience).

  • Proven track record in previously capturing and interpreting customer requirements on a regular basis.

  • Prior success in a target- and results-focused environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Field Sales

  • Previous experience selling complex service offerings for electrical upgrades and long-term service agreements.

  • Possession of a valid passport and driver's license to meet travel requirements.

  • Unrestricted right to work primarily in the UK.
