WTW Business Analyst in Reigate, United Kingdom

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our growing Technology organization (headquartered in Reigate, currently 230 heads globally) developing a wide range of market-leading InsurTech solutions. You will join us at an exciting time as we evolve our portfolio from desktop/on-premise towards cloud/SaaS, upgrading existing products to new technologies and modern UX, as well as developing brand-new solutions.

As Business Analyst, you will be involved in the definition and development of the requirements for a key new product working with senior stakeholders such as Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Architects, to complete detailed analysis on your assigned journey's, features and epics and translate these into meaningful user stories with acceptance criteria to help shape the product roadmap.

The Role

  • Working as part of the Platform Solutions team to evolve the Platform offering, whilst ensuring that the adoption and onboarding experience is optimised,

  • Input into and assist with the maintenance of the feature-level roadmap,

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (including internal subject matter experts, internal end-users and the Product Management team) to document requirements,

  • Work with the Product Managers and Product Owners to break Ideas down to Epic, Feature and User Story level and then help create and prioritise backlogs for quarterly release increments,

  • Work with UX to create Personas, User Journeys and to understand flows and use cases

  • Identify and remediate documentation gaps to aid in the onboarding experience

The essential skills/experience for this position are:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in technical setting working on complex systems, performing analysis, documenting requirements, epics, features and user stories,

  • Good understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and testing within a SaaS / cloud environment,

  • An understanding of Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and DevOps best practices,

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence senior stakeholders,

  • High attention to detail and high-quality standards whilst being pragmatic and delivering at pace,

  • At ease working in a team environment, can provide and receive constructive criticism,

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Creative thinker with a vision.

Other highly desirable, but not essential skills are:

  • Formal Business Analyst / Product Owner / Product Management training and accreditations,

  • Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe),

  • Hands-on experience with the production of wireframes (e.g. using Balsamiq),

  • Writing documentation in Markdown syntax within a Git repository,

  • Prior software development experience,

  • General knowledge of the Insurance industry
