Join Our Team as a Senior Software Engineer in Model Services & Platform within Cloud + AI

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Model Services & Platform division, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and functionality of models and APIs for Azure OpenAI services. Your responsibilities will involve close collaboration with OpenAI, facilitating the seamless integration of the latest OpenAI models while maintaining quality and parity standards. Moreover, you'll be instrumental in upholding Microsoft and Azure's rigorous standards and commitment to enterprise excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with OpenAI to ensure the smooth integration and deployment of cutting-edge AI models within Azure OpenAI services.

  • Lead efforts to maintain and enhance model quality, API functionality, and overall service reliability.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align project goals with Microsoft and Azure standards, ensuring compliance and excellence in all deliverables.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and optimization within our AI and cloud services ecosystem.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI and cloud technologies, leveraging this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ Years experience with distributed systems and Microservices.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in software engineering principles, with a focus on AI model development and API design.

  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and engage with external partners.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
