Microsoft Corporation Real Estate Analyst: Full Time Opportunities in Redmond, Washington

The Infrastructure Planning & Acquisition team is responsible for the acquisition and planning of Data Center real estate needed to build out Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. The types of projects include land acquisition, Build to Suit lease transactions and working on overall region planning. 

The Real Estate Analyst will be based in the United States, report to the Regional Manager and will be responsible for support of land acquisition work which could include support of the Senior Land Acquisition Managers and Land Program Managers from site selection, the acquisition process and through items associated with pre-construction in the North American regions. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution and impact to one of the largest data center portfolios on the planet.  You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the recommendations on the strategy to improve and expand our infrastructure in various North American markets.  You’ll assist with the reporting on project progress, coordinate meetings with internal and external parties, and participate with internal teams on driving the acquisition process forward. Responsibilities

  • Support evaluation, selection, and recommendations of acquisitions for approval.  

  • Partners with management of the acquisition process for land including tasks which can range from site selection to municipal collaboration for pre-construction work. 

  • Participates in the research and analysis of real estate market information.

  • Contribute to the recommendations on the strategy to improve and expand our infrastructure in various North American markets.

  • This position will require periodic travel to assigned geographies. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related degree.

  • Previous Intern experience.

  • Or realted experience.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in analytical reasoning, coupled with a comprehensive grasp of business fundamentals and a broad knowledge of real estate terminology.

  • Knowledge of the real estate transaction process.

  • Ability to effectively communicate internal process requirements to various audiences (e.g. internal and external stakeholders).

  • Experience in coordinating projects within a high-volume atmosphere. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with real estate brokers and team members effectively.

Real Estate Portfolio Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $64,800 - $115,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $86,400 - $129,600 per year.
