Microsoft Corporation New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

  • Product Launch: Contribute to the development, planning, and execution of a holistic, cross-functional product launch strategy, from product inception to high-volume manufacturing. Assist with managing the handoff from product design to mass production, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication across teams. 

  •  Program Management: Help drive the organization through the launch of new products, ensuring alignment with key technical and business milestones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, supply chain, and external suppliers to meet program goals. 

  •  Development Operations: Assist in executing development builds, driving factory and supply chain readiness for high-volume manufacturing. Support the development of supply base strategies, ensuring product and customer needs are met through successful supplier collaboration. 

  •  Risk Management: Contribute to the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks throughout the new product introduction process. Work with more experienced team members to assess potential risks and develop recovery plans to ensure smooth product launches. 

  •  Schedule & Milestone Management: Collaborate in the creation and management of product development schedules, identifying critical milestones and dependencies. Support the identification of potential risks to timelines and help coordinate mitigation efforts. 

  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Communications: Support internal communications related to product launch progress. Participate in executive updates, product launch reviews, and ensure alignment across teams to deliver on key program objectives. 

  •  Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification of opportunities for process improvements in new product introduction. Help execute strategies to enhance efficiency and quality in product development, production, and supply chain readiness.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 2+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics

  • OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 5+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics

  • OR Master's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 3+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics

  • OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.

  • Experience in hardware, software, or electronics product development, production, or product lifecycle management.

  • Experience working on cross-functional teams or in collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments.

NPI Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
