The team executes hundreds of unique title releases, marketing promotions, and feature updates each year to place gaming content in front of customers.

The Gaming Digital Microsoft Storefronts team is on the lookout for a Gaming Storefront Program Manager , focused on three core areas: playing a key role in our comprehensive experimentation program, prioritizing engineering features and spearheading customer research. This role is crafted for someone who can think strategically, communicate effectively, and handle complex situations with ease. The primary duties include designing and executing innovative experiments in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders, guiding the team's engineering focus to ensure Store features are strategically prioritized, and conducting digital gaming research to deepen customer engagement and improve the Store experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced settings, using business insight and analytical prowess to make impactful decisions and encourage teamwork. Responsibilities

  • Lead experimentation program for the team from ideation to recap, collaborating with both internal teams and external publishers.

  • Engage with engineering and stakeholders to prioritize and support joint development experiments. Play a key role in experiment design and implementation.

  • Communicate important engineering updates, foster teamwork across functions and find clear paths forward through ambiguity. Use excellent communication to simplify complex data and align stakeholders.

  • Develop and define matrices to prioritize Store features, advocate for key priorities with engineering and planning teams, and drive alignment on feature ranking to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely development while maintaining the Gaming backlog.

  • Collaborate with Engineering on Store feature design, documentation and decision-making. Assess feature impact for future enhancements and work with Finance to predict effects of new feature submissions.

  • Drive digital gaming research initiatives by generating and gathering ideas, overseeing projects and sharing findings to boost impact and encourage adoption both internally and externally.

  • Facilitate monthly customer focus groups to foster meaningful discussions and brainstorm innovative approaches to drive customer engagement, satisfaction and improve Store experiences.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in retail, ecommerce, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, marketing or business-related roles

  • Experience leading or facilitating customer-facing programs or similar engagements that require partnering with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Business Program Manager or similar role

  • 2+ years of experience using data analytics to identify critical business elements and effectively communicate insights

  • 2+ years project/vendor management experience

  • Experience leading and collaborating on research projects and presenting findings and insights to senior leaders

  • Compelling written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to flex communication styles based on content and audience

  • Executive maturity, proactive self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing priorities/expectations in a dynamic business environment

  • Ablility to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influence decision making, advocate positions and build business cases

  • Experience working within the Gaming industry

eCommerce IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,900 - $162,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,300 - $176,900 per year.
