Job Description Join our team as a Cycle Count Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring inventory accuracy for all manufacturing raw materials. Your responsibilities will include executing the cycle count process, maintaining integrity in inventory system data inputs, identifying, and resolving inaccuracies, and driving continuous process improvements. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic Materials Management team dedicated to achieving "Best in Class" results for our organization. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for cycle counts and root cause investigations of variances at assigned sites. Monitor inventory movements and interdepartmental transfers. Evaluate performance metrics related to inventory accuracy and identify underlying causes of errors. Communicate inventory variances cross-functionally and ensure proper accounting and charging to the correct accounts. Assist in reviewing and maintaining internal controls for inventory. Review inventory transaction codes and propose necessary changes to improve system efficiency and accuracy. Analyze and optimize materials process flows to enhance efficiency. Investigate negative balances and root causes, ensuring proper completion of substitution forms. Address inventory adjustment questions and requests. Collaborate with Plant Management to ensure timely completion of cycle counts and year-end physical inventories. Work with Warehouse and Production management to review inventory processes and conduct monthly audits. Conduct detailed research, reporting, and troubleshooting of manufacturing variances. Assist in investigating and determining root causes of cancelled case report issues. Recommend and implement system and inventory process/tool changes to enhance accuracy and reporting. Lead or participate in LEAN Project Teams to drive inventory and manufacturing process improvements. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in inventory management or purchasing or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates will have basic knowledge of manufacturing, preferably in the footwear industry; Excellent listening, verbal/written communication, and collaboration skills; Strong drive for results with superior execution and attention to detail; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer skills; Strong analytical abilities with a demonstrated problem-solving aptitude; Ability to thrive in stressful situations and work effectively under pressure; Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles; ASCM (formerly APICS) certification is a plus.
