SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for understanding and performing the entire Document Imaging Process. Understand chart order, forms, and hierarchy and for insure the quality and validity of the images released from ProVision to PowerChart. Sort and attach paper and electronic documentation and review discharge packets for completion. Determine and gather both paper and electronic records needed for Audits and Research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 - 2 years effective experience in a healthcare setting required.

  • Excellent English reading comprehension skills and the ability work effectively as a part of a team is required.

  • Strong computer skills including experience with Windows and Microsoft Office products preferred.

  • Medical Record experience preferred.

  • Adheres to and exhibits our organizational core values as outlined by Penn State Health.

P HYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to stand/walk occasionally; sit constantly.

  • Able to lift 0-10 lbs. constantly; 11-20 lbs. frequently; 21-35 lbs. occasionally.

  • Able to carry 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-35 lbs. occasionally.

  • Able to push 0-20 lbs. occasionally; 21-35 lbs. frequently.

  • Able to pull 0-20 lbs. frequently; 21-35 lbs. occasionally.

  • Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.

  • Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
