GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Teach technical knowledge in the Carpentry field
- Provide instruction in the areas of work ethic and life skills which will lead to employment and skills related to the Carpentry field
- Affiliation and involvement in the SkillsUSA youth organization and competitions
- Coordinate work related/educational activities within and potentially outside the school facility
- Organizational, classroom management, lesson plan development, and lesson plan implementation skills are essential for success in this position

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess or be eligible to receive an Ohio teaching license for Carpentry
- Must have at least five years of work experience in the area of Carpentry
- Must possess the ability to work effectively with youth in an educational setting
- Ability to read and understand student Individualized Education Plans
- Ability to create modifications to meet student needs

SALARY: Placement on the teachers' salary schedule will be based on education, work and teaching experience. The minimum starting pay will be $52,800. The contract consists of 188 days for the first year and 184 days thereafter.
