JJHCS provides contracting, supply chain, business services, and strategic solutions to customers and commercial intermediaries of U.S. based Johnson & Johnson companies, including hospital systems, health plans, distributors, wholesalers, purchasing organizations, government payer programs, and government health care institutions in the U.S. JJHCS also engages with customers to provide streamlined supply chain services for our products that seamlessly integrate with customer operations, address shared evolving market challenges to value-based care, and develop innovative solutions that improve patient care and access.

ECM is an organization under JJHCS which serves as the Center of Excellence that delivers outstanding solutions for Commercial Healthcare, Government & Regulatory, Systems, Processes and Training, and Risk Mitigation & Governance.

The GRO Contracts team is responsible for management of all processes relating to the development and execution of contracts for Medicaid, Medicaid Supplemental and Value-Based Agreements (VBA), State Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs (SPAPs), and AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs).

The Sr. Analyst will support the efficient and compliant management of GRO contracts including, but not limited to, tracking bid opportunities through the offer and contract lifecycle, performing risk assessments of contract terms and conditions, maintaining the contracting system, reporting metrics, and other related duties as the need arises. They will be responsible for development, negotiation, and execution of ADAP agreements and Medicaid Supplemental Rebate Agreements for individual states with mentorship from the GRO Contracting Sr. Manager. They will utilize their understanding of transactional level details, strategies, and compliance requirements to perform end-to-end contracting in coordination with Legal, Pricing Directors, and Strategic Marketing Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage GRO Contracts including loading contract terms and conditions and rebate calculation formulas into the contracting and rebate payment system.

  • Review Requests for Participation (RFPs), distribute to internal business partners, and track responses.

  • Perform risk assessments of terms and conditions for all GRO contracts.

  • Provide back up support to team members as it pertains to Medicaid Supplemental Rebate Agreements, VBAs, and SPAPs, side-by-side analysis, and other miscellaneous contracting responsibilities.

  • Support finalizing contract offers, drafting contract offer terms, and contract execution.

  • Ensure the Contract Activity Tracking (CAT) system is accurately updated and maintained.

  • Conduct quarterly review of existing State programs to validate CMS “qualified” status and review new programs for participation.

  • Provide direction and educate team members on system capabilities and processes to ensure the team’s successful implementation of contracts.

  • Develop and provide analysis regarding GRO contracting data metrics, reports and supporting documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

  • Liaison with internal business partners, States, and PBM's on various Supplemental and State issues such as offer terms, submission deadlines, PDL placement, product positioning, and State P&T results.

  • Participate in system assessments and the design, development, and implementation of GRO Contracting process improvements.

  • Stay current with knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and Government compliance.

  • Build partnerships with Johnson & Johnson Operating Company partners, States, and third-party agencies to resolve contract exceptions efficiently and compliantly.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

  • Advanced degree or certification preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of four (4) years related work experience

  • Experience with contracting and/or payment systems

  • Experience with data analytics, contract analytics, and presenting to leadership

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS

Preferred:

  • Business experience in developing, negotiating, and managing contracts

  • Knowledge of the healthcare contracting process, specifically in the Medicaid space

  • Working knowledge or experience with Model N/Revitas system

  • Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners

  • Experience implementing and supervising internal controls and/or business processes

  • Ability to successfully handle conflicting priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Other

  • Requires up to 10% domestic travel

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,000 to $121,900.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
