Insight Global Steep Slope Superintendent in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Description

The Superintendent will work alongside as well as manage crews, enforce safety compliance, track weekly progress, track material usage, document roadblocks, provide training & support to crews, and enforce quality control all while keeping the project on schedule and budget.

* Ensure that proper safety and equipment is on the job and used in the proper manner.

* Supervise and support crew everyday regarding safety, quality, and labor production.

* Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping.

* Communicate with manager, everyday regarding job progress, field problems, technical questions, etc.

* Coordinate punch list and job close out before crew leaves job site for the last time.

* Must complete paperwork such as time sheets, safety huddles, material and sheet metal shop requisitions, job reports, and toolbox talks.

* Document progress, roadblocks and / or damage to installed materials.

* Upload documented photos to the job file weekly.

* Provide training and support to both employees and subcontractors to ensure quality installation.

* Prioritize and plan tasks based on schedule demands.

* Attend weekly job site meetings and provide critical updates to the customer.

* Create production goals that align with Estimate.

* Coordinate with other trades on site.

* Inspect equipment, structures, and material.

* Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.

* Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

Skills and Requirements

* Have a good understanding of the following steep slope applications:

* Copper and/or zinc standing seam.

* Slate, tile, synthetic slate, asphalt shingles.

* Soldering copper and stainless steel.

* Education: High School/ G.E.D.

* Experience working on large scale commercial steep slope projects- start to finish.

* Ability to problem solve and offer solutions.

* Comfortable reading plans, specifications, and blueprints.

* Good communication skills

* Willingness to travel 75%- Monday -- Friday.

* Ability to manage crews and treat those with respect.

* OSHA 30 Certification.

* Basic mathematical skills and basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

* Driver's license required. Bilingual in English and Spanish null
