RELX INC Sr. UX Designer I in Raleigh, North Carolina

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Define the customer interactions of our products and execute design strategy for the business and product lines. Define user experience concepts and components for the product or project using tools such as wireframes, prototypes, and process flow diagrams. Work with UX Researchers to understand the user needs. Collaborate with other stakeholders to execute usability testing for applicable projects. Deliver established UCD solutions/processes. Introduce new design patterns and style guides, and clearly articulate design rationale and concepts. Work collaboratively with research teams and stakeholders to identify customer needs. Analyze and interpret market forces, driven by the latest news/incidents, competitive announcements, and events. Utilize data to establish key metrics for projects, and identify gaps where data is needed. Explore data from analytics packages, customer insights, and other sources to benefit research work. Regularly test design work with users in partnership with UX Research team. Iterate research methods based on testing and data analysis. Utilize design software such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Axure. Utilize development software to effectively collaborate with technical teams. Operate in various development environments such as Agile and Waterfall. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, User Experience, Human Centered Computing, Industrial Engineering, Interactive Design or a related field required.

  • 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

  • Also required is 3 years of experience: utilizing processes that efficiently discover customer needs and product design options; creating UI design patterns or product processes that adapt to customer needs; creating wireframes, prototypes, design concepts, style guides, design patterns, and high-resolution artifacts to be used in final implementation; mentoring product and technology teams in understanding the User-Centered design process; exploring data from common analytics packages, customer insight summaries, or other sources to provide evidence and supporting context for work; and utilizing tech stack of a product or organization.

  • Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.

  • Experience can be concurrent.
