Army National Guard Units FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST (TITLE 32) in Raleigh, North Carolina
Summary This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2371P01 and is part of the NC USPFO, National Guard (USPFO-Pay & Exam Branch - 1525-419). Responsibilities As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST GS-0501-09, you will conduct comprehensive examinations/ reviews of pay accounts for Soldiers, Civilians and Vendors; examine, analyze, and interpret finance and accounting data, records, and/or reports to determine conformance to federal appropriation law; evaluate facts presented to ensure validity, accuracy, and completeness of claims for customers; request additional information and/or documentation, as required in order to make determinations on a payment's status to ensure timely and accurate payment; display a thorough knowledge of the DJMS, DCPS, GFEBS, WAWF, DTS, and SMARTVOUCHER and GOVCC systems are required to examine, review, research, and correct payment transactions for pay accounts not covered by standard rules and regulations; resolve the most difficult pay problems including extensive research, review, and application of prior pay and tax laws, regulations, and entitlements; apply pay and tax laws, regulations, directives, and policies to all cases; based on the analysis of pay accounts prepare necessary documentation to pay or collect entitlements and adjust effected taxes; must have the ability to effectively communicate with different levels within the State's command and with external agencies, to include Financial Services and National Guard Bureau; ensure work is processed in accordance with established guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures; responsible to assist in the training and development of the Financial Services Technicians assigned to the section; perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted (E6 to E9) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, financial or other responsible work requiring analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (Must have 24 months) of experience, education, or training which involved commonly used financial control system regulations, policies, and procedures. Experience in managing, analyzing, organizing, and preparing reports.
