Grant Thornton Experience Leader (Associate Director) in Raleigh, North Carolina

Grant Thornton is seeking an Experience Leader (Associate Director) to join the team. Approved office locations can be found below.

As an Experience Associate Director in our Connected Sales & Marketing function, you will get the opportunity to lead the strategic design and orchestration of our end-to-end client experience across all stages of the journey—from lead development through conversion to retention and expansion. You'll guide a team of experience managers to create cohesive, impactful experiences that drive business growth and bring the GT brand to life. From day one, you'll be empowered by our collaborative environment and integrated platforms to shape transformative client experiences that deliver measurable business outcomes while setting new standards of excellence in the professional services industry.

Your Day-to-Day May Include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and vision for the end-to-end client experience (inclusive of external clients / prospects and internal clients inc. firm leaders, staff, etc.)

  • Ensuring seamless transitions across lead development, conversion, and retention/expansion stages

  • Supporting the intake and prioritization of experience designs

  • Managing a team of specialized experience managers, guiding their work while fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives

  • Developing comprehensive experience principles that address pain points and capitalize on opportunities across the full client lifecycle

  • Partnering with senior business leaders to understand demands, client expectations, and competitive differentiators that inform experience design

  • Establishing measurement frameworks and KPIs to evaluate experience effectiveness and demonstrate ROI across all journey stages

  • Collaborating with Platform teams to ensure technology enablement aligns with experience vision and requirements

  • Translating complex business needs into actionable experience roadmaps that balance short-term wins with long-term transformation

  • Staying ahead of industry trends and best practices in experience design, bringing innovative approaches to our professional services context

  • Other duties as assigned

You Have the Following Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Design, or related field preferred

  • 8-10 years of experience in client/customer experience, digital transformation, or strategy consulting

  • 3-5 years of experience managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives

  • Demonstrated expertise in experience design methodologies, service blueprinting, and journey orchestration

  • Strong understanding of marketing and sales technology ecosystems and their role in enabling exceptional experiences

  • Experience with data analysis and performance measurement across multiple experience touchpoints

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Strategic thinking with proven ability to translate vision into executable plans

  • Advanced project and program management capabilities with experience leading complex initiatives

  • Deep understanding of B2B professional services business models and client relationship dynamics

  • Can travel as needed

    The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $144,000 and $216,000 per year.

    The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Washington, DC, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Newport Beach, CA San Diego, CA, and New York, NY offices only is between $155,500 and $233,300 per year.

    The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $165,600 and $248,400 per year.
