Communities In Schools North Carolina Director of Program Support in Raleigh, North Carolina

Position Overview: The Director of Program Support is a critical member of CISNC’s Network Support Team and leads the development and delivery of support for staff implementing the CIS Model. The Director of Program Support will partner with the Director of Network Training to develop and deliver professional development and on-going support to CISNC and affiliate school-based staff. This includes providing coaching to ensure fidelity to the CIS Model to improve outcomes for students. Essential Functions: • Responsible for ensuring programmatic quality and achievement of CIS Model standards through regular communication with site staff and leadership; convening professional development sessions/calls; reviewing Communities In Schools Data Management system (CISDM) reports; and reporting progress to Executive Directors. • Facilitates the onboarding of new Student Support Specialists, including training. • Support the execution and facilitation of retreats for CIS Program Directors. • Develops staff competencies and programmatic quality by utilizing the CIS Model fidelity rubric and conducting site visits/walkthroughs. • Provides on-going training and support to ensure the timely and accurate entry of data into CISDM. • Oversight of all reaccreditation requirements for the student support standards. • Responsible for assisting with just-in-time development and facilitation of training sessions in-person, via webinar, multimedia, and other distance education delivery options. • Develops and facilitates webinars on a regularly scheduled basis to assist Student Support Specialists in the development and implementation of mission critical competencies. • Manages internal and external training resources for site staff. • Ensures linkages between school-based staff and state and national office resources. • Travels to a variety of diverse physical locations is approximately 50% of the job. • Perform other duties necessary for successful operation of programs, as assigned. • Ability to see, hear, speak, and travel to conduct training sessions. Necessary Skills: • Superior verbal and written communication skills • Outstanding interpersonal skills. • Technology expertise for the development and delivery of programming and program evaluation. • Technologically proficient in all office technology systems including spreadsheets, word processing, email, and Microsoft Applications. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or public administration is required. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Experience working in school- or community-based organizations. Experience with the CIS Model required. Awareness and understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion in community-based programs. Demonstrated passion and commitment to diverse students, families and communities.
