Kaleo Supports Team Lead Durham in Raleigh Durham, North Carolina

Function/Purpose/Objective

The Team Lead will, at the direction of the Director of Supports be responsible for teams who work within the 24-Hour Services department. (Supported Living Level 3 and Licensed Residential Services) The Team Lead is responsible for one site. Team Leads take on the work of managing every detail of the home from upkeep, day-to-day task lists, team scheduling, assigning tasks to other team members, shopping, meal planning, and helping coordinate the implementation of goals in the Individual Support Plans. The responsibility of the Team Lead is to ensure that each home is running smoothly.

The function is to ensure 24-hour services are provided with the quality, care, and commitment expected by Kaleo Supports.

Primary Duties

  • Oversees the operations of supported living level 3 and licensed residential homes and personnel.

  • Reviews and monitors program data collection.

  • Oversees and monitors peoples' finances.

  • Monitors all medical charts.

  • Performs duties of Residential Supervisor, as needed.

  • Prepares work schedule and reviews timesheets.

  • Attends staff meeting, providing input and ideas.

  • Maintains inventory of peoples' personal items.

  • Maintains communication with family and friends of clients.

  • Attends quarterly and annual meetings.

  • Oversees the purchase of house supplies and equipment.

  • Attends/Completes prescribed training on programs.

  • Attends applicant interviews and performance evaluations.

  • Transports residents to various destinations as directed.

  • Responds to emergencies situations as needed.

  • Works 3 shifts per week as a DSP

  • Is available to fill in in the absence of other team members.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with various people (individuals with disabilities, family members, case managers, etc.)

Roles and Relationships

The Employment Specialist will be primarily working with VR services and is supervised by the Employment Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements and Supervision

Work experience considered.

A High School Diploma is required and a degree in human services is preferred.
