Molina Healthcare Manager, Medical Economics (Marketplace) - REMOTE in Racine, Wisconsin

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Manages and provides direct oversight of Medical Economics Team activities and personnel. Provides technical expertise and manages relationships with operational leaders and staff. Directs staff assigned to their projects. Maintains internal work plans as well as project work plans to meet trend reporting needs of the Marketplace (ACA Coverage) Team. Responsible for staff time keeping, performance coaching, development, and career paths.

  • Daily management of Marketplace trend analytics work stream

  • Works closely with Marketplace team to address emerging trends and identify savings opportunities

  • Allocates new reporting / project requests (workload distribution)

  • Acts as a resource to staff for mentoring, coaching, and analysis questions

  • Reviews Medical Economics analyst work products to ensure accuracy and clarity

  • Reviews formatting, project documentation, and summary key findings to ensure best practices

  • Works with business owners to track performance indicators of medical interventions

  • Represents Medical Economics department in cross-departmental and operational meetings

  • Serves as liaison between Marketplace team / shared-services and Medical Economics regarding reporting needs and ad hoc requests

  • Manage the delivery and presentation of quarterly trend and performance review presentations

Interfaces and maintains positive interactions with Marketplace and Med Econ personnel

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Required Experience

  • 3 years management or team leadership experience

  • 10 years’ work experience preferably in medical economics or healthcare data environment

  • Strong knowledge of SQL programming, data manipulation, and advanced Excel functions

  • Experience creating concise data visualizations for leadership-level audiences

  • Strong experience presenting results, leading meetings, and engaging key-stakeholders

Preferred Education

  • Experience with ACA or Commercial health insurance products

  • PowerPivot for Excel

  • Databricks

  • PowerBI

Pay Range: $101,721 - $206,981 / ANNUAL
