GE Aerospace Unison Product Support Engineer (PSE) in Queretaro, Mexico
Job Description Summary
As Unison Product Support Engineer (PSE), you’ll be a key link between our customers and the Unison organization, diving into a variety of Unison electrical products. As Hardware Owner, the Product Support Engineer identifies and tracks in-service reliability of hardware, determines need for repair or product improvements, develops and owns field control programs.
The PSE is responsible for contributing to minimize potential customer operation disruptions due to in-service issues. Develop field plans including Service Bulletins, Initiate/participate in Technical/Tollgate Reviews, prepares technical communications to customers, is responsible for accuracy of technical publications’ content (Component Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Part Catalog, Service Bulletins, etc). Participates in initiatives for field problem corrective and proactive actions.
In this role you will work in coordination with Design Engineering, Quality, Product Reliability, and the Repair Shop teams to solve and to anticipate field problems.

Roles and Responsibilities
Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration. Maintenance of fleet data.
Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
Present and support technical and program reviews.
Develop field action plans to anticipate and fix field problems.
Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams.
Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with industry and government regulations, engineering policies and procedures.
Execute with limited guidance the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product/program requirements.
Recommend and guide the approach to meet the technical and program requirements.
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.
Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to field problems.
Lead Root Cause Investigations
Collect and analyze detailed data from the repair shop, including failure modes, repair frequencies, and root causes, to identify trends and propose targeted product improvements. Additionally, feed warranty information back to the business to inform strategic decisions, optimize warranty policies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor´s Degree
In-depth knowledge of aviation engines accessories including electrical harnesses, Sensors, exciter, leads and plugs.
Experience on Engine hardware or Components, and/or Engine Systems troubleshooting.
Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that do not affect clear understanding). Must have fluency, rhythm, and sufficient self-confidence in the language to be able to handle meetings and conversations.
Working knowledge of airworthiness and industrial regulations.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to guide and influence others.
Fundamental understanding of the technology and tools relevant to the function.
Desired Characteristics

Established project management skills.
Experience on Aircraft Line Maintenance and Failure Analysis / resolution methods
Experience on reliability engineering, terminology and reliability calculations.
