SAIC Windows Active Directory Team Lead in QUANTICO, Virginia

Introduction

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a Windows Active Directory Team Lead to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

Supervisory responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • General Timekeeping and basic supervisory tasks; actively communicating with the technical team to include utilizing MS Teams; scheduling to effectively utilize all team resources; support leadership decision-making.

  • Coordinates team schedules ensuring daily coverage.

  • Recommends Technical solutions to team to better effect team performance.

  • Provides performance feedback and appraisals for all direct reports.

  • Supports leadership in driving overall program and team performance.

  • Supervision of Prime and Sub-contractor workforce and collaboration with other operational teams.

Technical responsibilities

  • Develop solutions to complex problems.

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve Windows and Active Directory problems.

  • Orchestrate maintenance to support Windows and Active Directory services for system users.

  • Configure, test, and maintain Windows and Active Directory equipment and related services.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented Windows and Active Directory activities and systems.

  • Resolve interoperability problems to facilitate operations across a multitude of platforms.

  • Support hardware and software acquisition as well as operations and maintenance.

  • Support the implementation plans of new configurations and systems.

  • Work with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems.

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot authentication and directory services in accordance with system owner policy and guidance.

  • Perform as top level support for issues varying from any of the following:

  • AD object restorations / deletions / moves, to include users and/or computers Group policy creation/permissions/deletions.

  • DHCP authorizations.

  • Organizational Unit administrative rights permissions.

  • Support CCRI inspections for all for all windows/AD systems.

  • Support backups as per customer mission requirements.

  • Provide guidance, training, and leadership to Windows/Active Directory engineers.

  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and RunBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Participate in special projects as required.

  • Collaborate with Government Technical Managers, Program Leadership and others as required in normal course of duties

Working Conditions.

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).

  • Flexible work schedule based on mission requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

It is required that the Windows Active Directory Team Lead have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and twelve (12) or more years of experience.

  • Associates Degree and ten (10) or more years of experience.

  • BA/BS and eight (8) or more years of experience.

  • Active in scope Secret clearance (with eligibility for Top secret clearance).

  • IAT-II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).

  • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations.

  • Candidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, leadership, and government customer.

  • Must have the ability and desire to research and develop solutions to unique challenges with minimal supervision.

  • Strong working knowledge of the following: - Windows Active Directory services - Domain Name Service - Group Policy - Windows Server operating systems - Client/server hardware and software configuration - General Networking concepts - Physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers - Creating and/or modifying scripts (batch, vbs, PowerShell) - Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and SCCM/MECM - Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) - Microsoft SQL Server - DISA STIGs

Desired Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Three (3) to five (5) years or more of supervisory experience.

  • Microsoft server specific certification (ex. MCP 70-410 or AZ-900 or 98-365) or higher.
