Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. CAD Designer in QUAKERTOWN, Pennsylvania
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking an Entry-Level CAD Designer to join our team in Quakertown, PA. This position requires some experience in AutoCAD and GIS software to produce engineering and construction documents.
Our ideal candidate, under direction from senior staff, will be able to prepare construction drawings for various Geotechnical and Environmental projects including retaining walls, support of excavation, and construction details.
Responsibilities:
Prepare construction drawings and figures for a variety of engineering projects under the direction of senior staff
Review drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
Prepare and maintain a library of typical construction details
Minimum Requirements:
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
High School or General Equivalency Diploma
Basic knowledge of standard construction practices
Strong problem-solving skills
Detail oriented
Excellent organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a team setting
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree with a focus in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Construction Management, or related field.
Basic knowledge of GIS
