Specialist, Software Development Engineering

What does a successful Software Development Engineering, Specialist do?

Works with project teams and functional units on the design of features or services. Helps support existing business systems applications and demonstrates proficiency and leadership within agile methodologies. Balances and prioritizes project work efficiently. Design applications, analyze, lead and coordinate business enterprise solutions. Develops high performance applications, micro services and sets high standards of code quality.

What you will do:

As a software developer at Fiserv, you would be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for various financial services applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, analyze user needs, and develop innovative software solutions that align with Fiserv's business goals. Additionally, you may be involved in troubleshooting and resolving software defects, as well as implementing enhancements and upgrades to existing software systems.

What you will need to have:

6+ years of development experience of Java/J2EE projects as Full Stack Developer Must have hand-on experience on Core Java, Spring boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST framework, API development. Must have hands-on experience in React Strong knowledge of SQL Server Knowledge of Kubernetes is a must Knowledge of Payments domain is added advantage. Hands on experience with tools like Junit, JIRA, Postman etc. Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with ability to learn and apply new technical concepts quickly. Strong understanding of unit testing, mocking and integration testing is required. Coordinate with the Development Lead ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction. Strong ability to write technical documents, support requirements decomposition, coordinate working POCs and evolve to deployable code, ability to present designs to peers and Product Owner for approval, Deep understanding of all lifecycle components (code, test, deploy)
