Citigroup Ab Initio- ETL Developer - C11 - PUNE in Pune, India
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Understanding Business Requirements and Functional Requirements provided by Business Analysts and working as part of the development team to produce Technical Design Documents and deliver solutions on those requirements.
Ensure project deliverable s are created and PTS documentation is up to date.
Work closely with Cross Functional Teams e.g. Business Analysis, Product Assurance, Platforms and Infrastructure, Business Office, Controls and Production Support. Prepare handover documents, perform unit testing, SIT and assist with UAT and Production Implementation as required.
Identify and proactively resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability, and usability.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of how the development function integrates within overall business/technology to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry.
Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using AB Initio, ensuring efficient and scalable data integration.
Develop graphs, plans, and scripts using AB Initio components such as GDE, EME, Conduct>It, and Control Center.
Work with various data sources (structured and unstructured) and integrate data from multiple systems.
Optimize ETL processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and database administrators to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
Implement data governance and best practices for data security and compliance.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to ETL processing and performance bottlenecks.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and workflows.
Stay updated with new features and best practices in AB Initio and related technologies.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in ETL development using AB Initio preferrably in Financial/Investment banking domain.
Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts.
Hands-on experience with AB Initio GDE, EME, Co>Operating System, Conduct>It.
Work with databases (SQL & NoSQL) such as MongoDB, etc.
Experience working with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of shell scripting and Unix/Linux environments.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
