The Opportunity:
Are you ready to take on a vital role in our team? As a Truck Driver 2, you will perform a variety of duties associated with the receipt, delivery, and shipping of small packages, liquefied gases, compressed gases, maintenance supplies, construction materials, custodial supplies, and large freight weighing 150 pounds or more.
In this position, you will use a range of equipment, including a 14,000-26,000 GVW truck, panel van, 2-ton truck with cargo box, 3-ton flatbed, forklift, electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, cylinder hand trucks, liquid gas carts, and wheel dollies. Your expertise in handling these tools will be essential to your success.
Required Qualifications:
• Possession of a valid driver's license AND at least one year experience working as a Truck Driver 1; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with https://policies.wsu.edu/prf/index/manuals/safety-policies-procedures-manual/sppm-7-10/ and departmental driving standards.
• Experience using material handling equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a supply chain or retail/materials warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with the WSU campus.
