The Opportunity
As the Senior Data Analyst you will be responsible for designing and developing data models and targeted analyses to support decision-making at the WSU College of Medicine. You will work with college leadership to identify metrics and operationalize software systems to enable reporting which supports efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement of academics and operations across the college. In this role, you will utilize programming and advanced software such as R, Python, Power BI and Tableau to apply knowledge of advanced statistical methods to monitor key indicators such as longitudinal trends, comparability across the distributed campus system. You will also work independently to execute data initiatives in the college's Strategic Plan and Accreditation efforts.
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $5,117 to $6,876 | Step A - M | Range #56 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-28. Step M is typically a longevity step.
In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree including college level course work in statistics and/or mathematics AND two (2) years of experience working as a Data Consultant 2 or equivalent; OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience using a programing language such as Python or R to manipulate large datasets.
• Demonstrated experience with a business intelligence platform such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
• Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
