Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories PCB Designer in Pullman, Washington

SEL is seeking a CAD/PCB Designer to work in a fast paced, team environment to design printed circuit boards for use in high reliability applications. If you are an innovative and detailed designer, that is ready for the challenge of putting together an intricate design to produce a manufacturable, testable, and working design, then this position is for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Design printed circuit boards and create documentation under the direction of a more experienced Designer.2. Schedule and conduct design team meetings for assigned designs.3. Incorporate Engineering Change Orders on PCB layouts and documentation.4. Create CAD and CAE part libraries, schematic symbols, and layout footprints.

Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsTwo-year technology Associate's degree in design, electronics, or degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience1+ year of working experience with AutoCADStrong organizational skillsStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)Preferred QualificationsBasic knowledge of PCB fabrication, assembly and testExperience with PCB design softwareKnowledge of IPC standardsPhysical RequirementsNone
