Professional Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Project Manager, you will work closely with the Cer3D center director, ensuring the smooth functioning of the institute across all sites. You will manage and coordinate the day-to-day administration of the program, develop and implement policies and procedures, and monitor progress towards the center's goals. Your role will involve working with finance personnel to ensure operations stay within budget, coordinating staff and resources, optimizing processes, project reporting, and liaising with evaluators and advisory boards. You will keep stakeholders informed and exercise independent judgment and discretion while managing multiple moving project targets simultaneously. With delegated authority, you will make commitments that affect Cer3D operations, driving the institute towards success. Required Qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. • Demonstrated experience using accounting information systems and/or applications software. • Experience in the administrative, financial, and/or personnel management functions in a university, educational or public institution setting. • Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment, including spreadsheet, data base, word processing, calendaring and email. • Demonstrated ability in problem solving that considers alternatives and provides flexibility. Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated skill and ability to work and interact effectively and harmoniously with a wide variety of peers, administrators, faculty, students, and public is desired. • Master's degree in a STEM field or management or a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) • General experience in a wide range of disciplines; computer science, mathematics, agriculture, engineering, environmental sciences, business, administration, grants management • Familiarity with the Federal Uniform Guidance, the Washington Administrative Code, and The WSU BPPM, SPPM, and Executive Policy Manual. • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Knowledge of project management software and apps, and collaborative tools • Ability to provide supportive leadership, clear communication in a team-based environment. • Demonstrated experience in business operations and analysis, which may include project management, process improvement, budget preparation, reporting, etc. Additional Information: This is a full (100% FTE), temporary position. This positions overtime eligibility will be determined by final salary placement. Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on May 15, 2026. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
