About Your Role
McCullough Law is seeking a full-time, career-minded Legal Drafter to join our growing company. This specialized role is responsible for drafting and reviewing sophisticated and customized legal documents within the practice areas of estate planning, business, and estate administration.
Responsibilities
Draft sophisticated, customized, and detailed legal documents for attorney and copy-editing review
Provide legal research to ensure documents meet federal, state, and IRS tax laws
Thoroughly review each client’s estate information, structure, and asset documentation to ensure accuracy
Consistently and accurately update legal documents based on our client’s changing needs and objectives
Keep an accurate and efficient record of all document history on an internal client management system
Accurately enter data into the applicable documents and/or forms
Collaborate with team members on all aspects of the client’s estate
Ensure legal documents and asset transfer documents articulate and achieve the client’s objectives and adhere to attorney recommendations
Prepare business entities, operating documents, and business audits as part of estate planning and asset protection strategies
Requirements
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in the writing, editing, legal, finance, or business field
Must have professional appearance and demeanor
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
Impeccable attention to detail
Effective time management and organization to meet and exceed deadlines
Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with a team, maintain strict confidentiality, and implement coaching, training, and feedback
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Applicants must be available to work onsite Monday to Friday from 8:25 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with different estate planning documents (i.e., will, health care directive, power of attorney, trusts, etc.)
Knowledge of real estate, financial investments and bank accounts, private equity, life insurance policies, asset appraisal, and/or business structures and creation
Leadership experience

Pay range is $48,000 – $65,000+ DOE
