Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced REMOTE Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee risk and regulatory initiatives, including consent orders, matters requiring attention (MRAs), and risk framework implementation to work at our leading banking client. This role requires a strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and regulatory expectations within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of project management experience within banking and financial services, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex risk and regulatory Projects.
Essential Duties:
• Lead large-scale risk and compliance projects related to Consent Orders, MRAs, and risk framework implementation.
• Oversee the development and execution of risk management frameworks, ensuring alignment with federal and global banking regulations (OCC, FRB, FDIC, and Basel III).
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, legal, and business teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Establish governance structures for project execution, tracking milestones, and ensuring deliverables meet regulatory expectations.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans for risk-related findings.
• Partner with stakeholders to enhance risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) processes.
• Manage project reporting, risk metrics, and dashboards to provide transparency on regulatory remediation progress.
• Drive cross-functional engagement with senior leadership, regulators, and internal audit teams.
Qualifications:
• 8-10 years of experience in project management within banking/financial services.
• Strong expertise in managing consent orders, MRAs, regulatory risk frameworks, and governance projects.
• Experience working with regulators (OCC, FRB, FDIC) and implementing remediation plans.
• Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks (Basel III, COSO, FFIEC, SOX, AML, BSA).
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar Project management tools.
• PMP, CISA, CRMA, or equivalent risk-related certifications preferred.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
• Proven ability to drive regulatory and risk-related projects in matrixed banking environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience managing Projects in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected (<25%) for potential quarterly regulatory meetings or stakeholder engagements.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $90 – 95.
