Principal Product Marketing Analyst – MySQL and HeatWave (IC3/4)

Job description

Oracle is seeking an experienced marketer to lead overall product marketing efforts for the MySQL and HeatWave portfolio of offerings, currently encompassing MySQL, HeatWave, HeatWave Lakehouse, HeatWave GenAI, and HeatWave AutoML. Within the outbound product management team, the successful applicant will lead the GTM planning and execution. You will participate in customer activities and collaborate with teams of product managers and sellers to define positioning, messaging, and create compelling content that resonates with both external and internal stakeholders. You will develop assets including Web pages, customer presentations, case studies, success stories, solution brochures, and blogs, as well as orchestrate launches across teams. As SME, you will provide guidance to sales and other teams worldwide to ensure consistency of messaging and execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of data management and cloud databases along with a solid understanding of analytics and AI. Familiarity with cloud selling models and open-source database technologies is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling product marketing content for both new offerings/capabilities and existing ones

  • Work with product management and development teams to translate technical features into customer value propositions that will resonate with key audiences

  • Orchestrate launches of new offerings/capabilities collaborating with product management, PR, AR, campaign, and other teams as appropriate

  • Develop compelling customer presentations for sales reps, webcasts, and key Oracle events

  • Create awareness and demand generation content including customer case studies, solution brochures, blogs, social posts, and videos

  • Review and edit technical content including presentations, white papers, blogs, demos, and hands-on labs

  • Maintain and further develop Web pages

  • Understand the competitive landscape and incorporate relevant updates into content assets intended for use by both external and internal constituencies

  • Foster contacts with regions and support them in their local sales and field marketing efforts via guidance as well as external facing and sales enablement content

  • Ensure the availability of up-to-date content in the global Oracle sales portal

Preferred qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ product marketing experience in the tech industry

  • Experience marketing and selling cloud databases

  • Solid understanding of analytics and AI

  • Strong product positioning and messaging skills

  • Ability to think strategically with tactical execution

  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual/presentation skills

  • Active social media presence, broad social network connections, and strong creative skills for social media marketing

  • Capable of producing compelling, high-quality documents and presentations on short timelines

  • Demonstrated ability to work across cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • MySQL Enterprise Edition and HeatWave knowledge, involvement in MySQL community, and familiarity with open-source model is highly advantageous

  • Bachelor’s degree

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
