Munich Re America Services, Inc. seeks a Cyber Defense Analyst Sr. for its Princeton, NJ location.Duties: Lead incident escalations as a Level 3 responder as part of the Security Incident Management Process. Monitor alert queues and respond to security alerts as a Level 2 responder using SIEM and EDR tools. Organize and conduct Lessons Learned sessions to improve response processes after major incidents. Develop and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use cases for monitoring and handling different types of security events. Threat intelligence gathering to ensure that detection methods are effective against current threats. Prepare detailed reports and provide summaries on both status and progress of investigations.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or a closely related field plus 2 years of experience as Security or Risk Analyst or closely related position. Prior work experience must include: Using SIEM and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to investigate security alerts; Using Bitsight, Arcsight, Exabeam, Service Now, MS Defender for Endpoint, MS Defender for Server, MS Defender for Cloud, Trend micro, Varonis file monitoring, Office365 data loss prevention, Proofpoint email gateways, Zscaler web proxies, and Fortigate firewalls; Incident response; Threat intelligence gathering; and, developing use cases. Telecommuting permitted but must have ability to report to Princeton, New Jersey office at least once a week. Salary range is from $114,795 to $114,795 per year.
