Robert Half Accounting Manager in Princeton, New Jersey

Description

We are in the process of recruiting an Accounting Manager for our hotel operations in Princeton, New Jersey. This role involves the management of several functional areas including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting. The successful candidate will be interacting with various departments throughout the organization, addressing payable and receivable issues, as well as reporting financial results and general ledger activity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

• Lead SOX compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.

• Identify opportunities to control costs and minimize expenses.

• Serve as the primary contact with Auditors.

• Handle the recruitment, training, and development of finance associates.

• Ensure the completion of monthly close duties and schedules in a timely manner.

• Liaise with Accountants, and finance leads regarding monthly close activities, including journal entries, monthly schedules, and reconciliation work.

• Make suggestions to management to enhance profitability.

• Supervise and guide the month-end close process, global results' consolidation, and monthly reporting.

• Manage the process of financial reporting.

• Coordinate with different departments to resolve payable, receivable, and financial reporting issues.

• Research and implement new standards for technical/complex accounting issues.

• Enhance financial reporting efficiency while collaborating with finance and operation stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required.

• Must have a working knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Must have experience with BlackLine.

• Demonstrated ability to perform Accounting Functions.

• Proficiency in using Concur is necessary.

• Must have a solid understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Auditing experience is a must.

• Proficiency in handling Billing Functions is required.
