Falcon Contracting Ltd. Experienced Carpenter in Prince George, British Columbia

Falcon Contracting Ltd. is a locally owned and operated group of companies based in Prince George, BC. We are a diverse organization specializing in civil construction and turn-key camp catering.

We are seeking Carpenters (Red Seal and non-Certified) for current and up coming projects for full and part time employment both locally and out of town. Qualified carpenters are to have skills in framing, concrete work and to perform various other construction tasks.

Location: Prince George

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience

  • Knowledge and experience in both civil construction and residential projects

  • Journeyman Carpenter Certificate from a recognized provincial training authority is not required but will be considered an asset.

  • Must have framing & concrete formwork experience.

  • Able to accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and understand verbal instructions.

  • Practical knowledge and application of workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures, and proper tool usage

  • Be self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and proactive with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Supply own trade tools.

  • Ability to carry up to 50lbs

  • Team player and safety oriented

  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation

  • Working in all weather conditions

  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner

  • Time management skills

  • Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances

  • Able to work long hours and Saturdays if needed with potential out of town work opportunities.

    Responsibilities

  • Build, layout and execute build as required, according to specifications with the ability to make calculations depending on grade

  • Fit and install material items such as doors, stairs, drywall, exterior siding, and both interior and exterior finishing’s on buildings and modules.

  • Proficient in using an array of specialized power tools, machines, and hand tools

  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings

  • Planning timelines and meeting deadlines

  • Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of carpentry tools

  • Complete other duties as assigned
