No set rotation, but candidates should be comfortable working occasional weekends (up to 2 per month)

Brief description of typical responsibilities, unit, etc.

44 bed hospital with just one floor and one nurses' station. Deal with a lot of stroke and ortho patients. Have LPNs, RNs, and PCTs on staff and just 2 physicians for the whole hospital. Ratios are 8:1

Candidate Background

Preferred background, years of experience

Previous LTAC/Rehab experience, experience working with ortho and stroke patients. someone who can be independent and has good nursing 101 skills.

Acceptable background, years of experience

Med/Surg experience, first-time traveler ok

What certifications are required, if any (i.e. ACLS, BLS)

BLS

Top 3 skills/attributes needed for excellent fit

  1. Good nursing 101 skills/ability to follow directions

  2. Independent/self-starter who doesn’t need a lot of direction

Hospital is in an area that is very secluded and small town. It's beautiful and surrounded by mountains with all four seasons (right now it's cold and wintry). In an up-and-coming area with a lot of homes being built.

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process andthe delivery of patient care. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective andefficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability inthe coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and isaccountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.

  • Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.

  • Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation).

  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.

  • One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.

  • Current BLS card.
