About the role / Segment

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our Software Quality Assurance Engineer team. As a QA engineer you will be part of the international team that develops Design-for Test Tessent Products. You will have the opportunity to test tools that are vital in testing and validating ICs such as microprocessors, SoCs, GPUs and memories used by the world’s leading semiconductor companies. Working in this position you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Tessent software products. The individual will work closely with the software application developers and Product Manager to help deliver timely product releases that effectively meet our customer's needs.

The successful candidate will need to be a highly motivated engineer with excellent communication skills, and the ability to successfully interact with fellow team members and developers on a daily basis.

Your qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or other related field.

  • 2+ years experienced in test automation.

  • Knowledge at least one of the scripting languages (TCL, Python, bash)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Experienced in UNIX or LINUX operating systems.

  • Ability to solve complex issues using analytical skills.

  • Basic knowledge in electronics or hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL) would be additional advantage.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Area of responsibility

You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring and providing the best quality for Tessent Products. One of the quality assurance responsibilities is to create a comprehensive test plan that covers new enhancements based on the functional specification and collaboration with Product Manager, developers and colleagues with QA team. As a member of the product team, you will be also attending product meetings to understand project scope and have the opportunity to discuss ideas about new features that will be implemented. You will be an integral part of the development process and support the team in identifying potential bugs in requirements.

Working in the QA team you will be designing, implementing and maintaining automation test cases written in TCL programming language and store it in our repository. Track and report all identified bugs to ensure the best quality of our products delivered to customers. Quality assurance responsibilities will involve the creation of automation test cases used to measure the quality, performance or usefulness of Tessent products in our design flow and to improve test specifications by analyzing the root causes of technical issues, and develop testing solutions for those root causes.
