We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager within the Field Operations team at GA-ASI located in San Diego, CA (Poway). This position is responsible for the oversight and compliance of day-to-day aviation operations at deployed locations, to include managing processes that ensure standardized operations, creating procedures when new capabilities are fielded, coordinating with Field Service Representative providers to ensure trained and qualified personnel are available to deploy worldwide, and communicating with onsite representatives to ensure an optimal customer service experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position is responsible for providing oversight and direction to MQ-9 aviation operations at deployed locations including leadership of the payload & exploitation (P&E) and aircrew teams.

  • Responsible for coordinating/planning future mission requirements with the customer to provide maximum operational efficacy in compliance with governing documents/guidance, contractual requirements.

  • Responsible to on-site leadership for the daily successful mission execution with the P&E and aircrew leads.

  • Develops up-to-date, accurate documentation and reports to reflect site activity. Establishes operating procedures that affect other companies providing contractual support.

  • Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policies. Adapts and updates procedures to improve overall aviation operations performance.

  • Represents the team to upper-level management and outside representatives and gives presentations as required.

  • Provides leadership and mentorship to on-site aircrew teams.

  • Coordinates and leads stakeholders through all phases of operational planning and execution.

  • Participates in the development of contractual requirements and associated staffing.

  • Coordinates with stakeholders for proper mission planning and execution of both flight and sensor profiles.

  • On site travel to provide audit, standardization and oversight to deployed sites.

  • As available, short duration deployments to audit compliance and operations or support initial site stand-up and significant site issues.

  • Supports other Field Operations elements for operational execution.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices, FAA, ICAO, OSHA, etc.

  • Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and eleven or more years progressively complex technical experience including five or more years managing a technical team. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading deployed aviation operations.

  • Experience with flight and mission planning to include aviation risk management.

  • Experience presenting and leading pre-mission briefs and post-mission debriefs, inclusive of customer interaction and support.

  • Experience leading teams in organizing, planning, scheduling, resource management, training, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadline or milestones.

  • MQ-9 LRE and ICAO environment experience highly desired.

  • Must possess the ability to resolve complex management and technical problems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, senior management and outside representatives.

  • Process development and management.

  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and strong computer skills.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified LRE instructor pilot or above.

  • FAA Private Pilot with IFR Rating.

  • Experience with the DCMAINST 8210.1 and an understanding of DoD service guidance.
