YOUR TEAM

You will be an integral part of our high performing team based in Northallerton. The team is friendly, collaborative and its ethos is based on trust, integrity and fairness. The team is integral to several key local clients, including North Yorkshire Council and City of York Council.

Leading site-based teams with support from office-based design teams and specialists, you will have the fantastic opportunity to be involved in managing various projects including Transforming Cities Funded, Active Travel Funding, Capital works, improvement works and major projects.

You will be pivotal in driving the quality, and timeliness of the service we provide during the construction stages of the project.

  • A Degree or HNC/ HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering/Technical discipline, or other demonstrable experience in site based Civil Engineering.

  • Managing and administrating NEC ECC contracts and leading site teams.

  • An ability to fairly and consistently challenge contractor programmes, method of working etc. with a strong emphasis on health and safety and mental wellbeing.

  • A positive project-oriented attitude with an ability to problem-solve, deliver to timescales and manage multiple disciplines simultaneously during the construction stages.

  • An ability to actively engage with WSP’s design teams to quickly resolve issues if, and when they arise on site.

  • A full valid UK driving licence is required
