Job Title: Industrial Electrical Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking skilled industrial electricians to work on several projects across Hampton Roads, including the Nansemond Water Treatment Plant, HRSD, Municipals, and Smithfield Foods. This role requires expertise in working with various types of pipes and conduits, particularly in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work with up to 4-inch pipes.

  • Handle and install rigid conduit, aluminum, and PVC-coated pipes.

  • Independently bend pipes as required.

  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on the job site.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of industrial experience.

  • Proficient in working with rigid conduit, aluminum pipe, and PVC-coated pipe.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Experience in treatment plant projects.

  • Licensed electrician (preferred but not required).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Work Environment

This role involves working Monday to Saturday with 8-10 hour days, and overtime is expected. Start times depend on the job site, ranging from 6 am to 7 am. The work is primarily outdoors, and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, safety vests, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats are required. Candidates must have their own tools, including benders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
