Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works in the Shipping area, packing and shipping product as well as unloading and receiving in material.

  • Must be able to learn UPS or Fed Ex shipping equipment, including international shipping

  • Able to be forklift certified

Education and Experience:

  • HS diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to apply common sense in performing job

  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to use basic high school math skills

  • 6 months shipping experience or 12 months of general factory work

Physical Demands:

  • Good coordination and flexibility in both hands

  • Occasionally lifting up to 50 -75 Lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Factory environment, some outdoor exposure.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Use of appropriate PPE for occasional chemical handling

  • Use of safety glasses

  • Use of steel protective shoes or protective shoe covers

Training Requirements:

  • ERP and Time clock system Overview

  • Teledyne Ethics and Harassment training

  • Hazardous Waste Handler

  • Hazardous Communications

  • Quality Systems

Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
