Job Summary
Hardware test engineer
Responsibilities and Duties
Studying FPGA and Board requirements to understand verification requirements.
Defining test procedures
Establishing verification methodology, architecture, and infrastructure including models, generators, monitors, etc.
Design and Developing of the established test benches
Validation test of the developed test bench
Generating reports and verification matrices to ensure coverage of requirements
Support on HW design review and troubleshooting
Managing documentation in adherence to Configuration Management and Change Control procedures
Conducting or participating in design reviews
Analysis of HW low level requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Required skills
Bachelor’s degree in an electronic engineering discipline o similar
Knowledge/Experience with laboratory instruments (power supplies, oscilloscopes, data analyzer, waveform generator,…)
Knowledge of the main electrical interfaces and protocols (I2C, RS-422, SPI, Ethernet,…).
Organized and systematic to maintain documentation in appropriate order
Knowledge of version control, e.g., SVN, GIT.
Attitude to adhere to Requirements Standards, and Validation and Verification standards, when generating the documentation
Ability to communicate through frequent meetings and thorough documentation, to keep the team fully updated and focused to the final target
Knowledge of English Language, both in writing/reading technical documentation (at least B1 level)
Preferred Skills
knowledge of the main CAD environments for HW design (schematic entry & pcb layout) as well as circuit simulation tools.
Master's degree in an electronic engineering discipline o similar
Integration experience using SoC (System on Chip) devices especially Xilinx product family
Experience with Xilinx Vivado
Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink
Experience with IBM National DOORS tool
