GKN Automotive Procurement Intern - IEFP in Porto, Portugal

What’s the role about?

  • Research and understanding - consolidation of client and international regulatory requirements covering conflict mineral reports.

  • Data collection, analysis and optimisation.

  • Contacting GKN Automotive's suppliers and analysing the data they provide

  • Supporting suppliers in monitoring their ESG maps - identifying best practice where possible.

  • Utilising Office 365 packages and other IT tools to create a robust and streamlined reporting tool.

  • The use of automated forms to reduce the analytical burden would be highly valued.

  • Documentation and knowledge: ensuring that essential regulatory information is effectively communicated to suppliers and GKN and ensuring that standardized work and work instructions are created and available to all staff.

What are we looking for?

  • Eligible for IEFP internship

  • Degree in Environmental Engineer or Environmental Sciences

  • Interested in understanding and implementing environmental regulations to support GKN Automotive and ESG, in compliance with international standards.

  • Ability to solve problems and review systems to make them better.

  • Communication skills in English

  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
