The ADP Ventures is a new business incubator, maturing ideas into new businesses and startups that will help our clients navigate the world of work. You will be working on a cross-functional team located in Porto Alegre, Brazil but with peers at our New York City office.

Every day you will work on a global team with multiple stakeholders to identify, design, develop, and implement advanced analytics projects that assist our clients daily. You will work with your team to provide, interpret, and predict necessary metrics for decision-making. You will code with machine learning tools like Python, AWS, and ML (Machine Learning) techniques, to synthesize millions of data sets into patterns that answer ad hoc requests and generate valuable insights for our clients.
Your work will focus on creating and refining state-of-the-art recommendation and conversation engines. Also, to research the latest developments in AI research and technology, actively incorporating new techniques and approaches to maintain our leadership in innovation.
To thrive in this career, you should know how to identify errors and reactively fix them. You will need to have some formal education in quantitative analytics and know design patterns and data structures. You have the skills to leverage existing models or create new models using the technologies above. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here is what you can expect on a typical day:
Innovative Recommendation & Language Solutions. Your journey begins by leveraging your expertise in Recommendation Systems, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Conversation Engines, enriched by your solid background in Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling. You'll confront complex challenges through adept analytical questioning, data extraction and analysis from varied sources, leading to the distillation of crucial insights.
Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling. From the outset, your ability to synthesize insights into compelling narratives, complemented by visual representations and actionable recommendations, will be instrumental in pioneering innovative solutions in recommendation and language technologies. This expertise not only sets the foundation for success but also positions you as a key player in driving forward-thinking outcomes —this will set you up for success on Day 1.
Own and Manage Projects. You will identify, design, develop, and implement advanced analytical projects.
Limitless Possibilities. You will continue learning and discovering new ways to leverage ADP data to create new products and services and find more insights. You are passionate about learning and applying new techniques within data science that lead to innovations.
Collaboration and Communication. You will be part of a collaborative team, listening to needs, then finding and sharing solutions. You are comfortable and skilled at presenting to both peers and leadership on your projects and findings.
Experience. With at least 8 years of hands-on experience in Recommendation Engines, NLP, and/or Conversation Systems, you bring a wealth of knowledge and a track record of impactful contributions in similar roles. Your experience acts as a cornerstone for innovative problem-solving and thought leadership within our team.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field;
Strong experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role;
Advanced English skills (able to interact daily with a distributed team);
Fluency in Python - including popular data science packages (pandas, sklearn, etc) and quality tests;
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and methods used in the data science field;
Experience with Machine Learning model development and deployment;
Knowledge of Natural Language Processing and Conversation Engines;
Experience with Recommendation systems;
Knowledge with Cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure);
Interest in LLMs, Generative AI and Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG);
Willing to work with ML Ops and Software Development activities as well.
BONUS POINTS FOR THESE:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on AI and Machine Learning;
Good understanding of Software Engineering;
Exposure to Jupyter notebooks and/or Databricks platform;
Experience with AWS cloud solutions (S3, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker);
Experience with integrating data products (recommender systems, classifiers, chatbots, etc) into applications in production environments;
Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Delivery methodologies;
Experience with Vector Databases.
