Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Capacity Planner with overall systems hardware, software and storage performance experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Provides technical leadership and consulting on hardware, software, and network capacity planning standards, practices, tools, and techniques. Works with application and infrastructure architects to define and enhance the capacity planning process. Evaluates, tests, and monitors effectiveness of automated performance/capacity measurement and forecasting tools. Ensures that the organization always has sufficient but not excessive technological capacity. Recommends performance improvements. Develops and maintains a comprehensive storage, server, hardware, and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.

Position Overview:

As an ETL & Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions utilizing enterprise data warehouse methodologies. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, translate requirements into effective visualizations and reports, and provide expertise in data modeling and dashboard creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data sources, and ensure accuracy and relevance of insights.

  • Create efficient data models, DAX calculations, and queries to optimize performance and usability of Power BI solutions.

  • Implement best practices in data visualization, ensuring intuitive and actionable insights for end-users.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and maintain data integrity.

  • Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of ETL, database, and Power BI solutions as needed.

  • Stay updated with the latest best practices, tools, and trends, and recommend improvements or enhancements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 10 years experience with tools and practices for determining and managing resources (hardware, software, telecommunications, etc.) needed to provide satisfactory levels of service for current and future applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience as a infrastructure developer or similar role, with expertise in developing complex Power BI solutions.

  • Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, M, and SQL with the ability to optimize queries and data transformation processes.

  • Proficiency in SQL is a must

  • ETL tools such as Alteryx is a must

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Certification in Power BI, SQL , or related technologies is a must

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00
