How you will make an impact:

Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a Registered Nurse Manager in our dynamic mental health facility, who will provide safe and effective nursing care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Hills Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Nursing Department. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospitals philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit.

Salary from $108,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's required. Master's degree preferred.

  • A minimum of one year supervisory experience.

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Behavioral Health or related field.

  • Currently licensed to practice by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.

  • Successful completion of Handle With Care and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures.

  • CPR /BLS Certification required from an approved source

  • May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

  • Must possess demonstrated leadership ability, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, verbally and written.

  • Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, limit setting, behavior management, and crisis management of aggressive behaviors.

  • Intermediate level MS Word, Excel.
