Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We're seeking a Maintenance Technican on 2nd Shift for our client. This Technician will work on the Maintenance team with the Production team to ensure smooth continuous operation of large industrial wash tunnels as well and centrifugal drying equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures in accordance with standard operating procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies. Assist higher-level technicians in maintaining the facility's operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Locate, identify, and resolve any safety issues with mechanical or electrical devices.

  • Proactively investigate needs, evaluate issues, and present/recommend alternatives to decrease overall facility operational downtime thus increasing operational effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain purchasing/inventory controls for repair parts and tool inventories.

  • Support existing and future projects during installations, start-up, and long-term operation.

  • Support daily/weekly asset usage.

  • Assist in daily/weekly training of warehouse personnel.

  • Assist with special projects as directed by management.

  • Continuously seek to improve existing methods of operation through research and development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in production or high-volume distribution settings is a plus.

  • Experience with conveyor systems, high-volume washers, dryers, air tumblers, etc.

Pay Scale:

$30-32/hr. DOE

Shift:

2nd Shift - Sun-Thurs, Sunday 8pm - 5:30am, Mon-Thurs 9pm-5:30am

Work Environment

Warehouse environment where RPCs are received, unloaded, sorted, sanitized/washed, QC'd, restacked, and prepped for shipment. The maintenance team oversees facilities and mechanical maintenance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Direct Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon. This is a direct hire position with a pay scale of $30-$32/hr.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $62400.00/yr.
