Job Description

The Caregiver Relations Consultant II serves as a trusted resource for Core Leaders and Caregivers facing employee relations matters that require content and subject-matter expertise. The role ensures consistent and best practice approaches to positive employee and labor relations, adherence to HR policies, compliance with regulatory and policy requirements and standards, investigations, and recommendations for workplace environment improvement. Additional responsibilities include employee relations research, identifying trends and patterns for critical intervention, labor relations research, dispute alternatives, policy development, effective recordkeeping, and data integrity.

Key Areas of Focus:

•Provides advanced consulting expertise in employee relations-based interactions and activities.

•Recommends resolution for contract and employee grievances after thorough contract and policy review, and investigations have been completed

•Coaches leaders through complex employee relations issues to include performance management, grievances, LOA/ADA, etc.

•Provides advice consistent with the values, objectivity and in alignment with the protocols of the Caregiver Relations team.

• Uses facts and data to interpret and trend data for effective business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with core leaders on complex investigations and recommend appropriate corrective action and discipline.

• Escalate highly complex or potential Title VII allegations to Sr. HR Consultant.

• Identify opportunities for problem resolution between core leaders and caregivers.

• Manage risk and deploy best practices in ER service administration (e.g. Regulatory Bodies, EEOC, ADA/LOA, Wage & Hour, Wrongful Discharge).

• Advocate fair and appropriate workplace practices in line with mission, values, and legal parameters.

• Lead challenging conversations and interactions.

• Promote and utilize HR technology, metrics, and systems to support business needs.

• Ensure accurate and timely case management using the ServiceNow system for data compliance and reporting.

• Focus on real-time ER assessments and investigations/recommendations.

• Collaborate with core leaders, local HR, HRSC, HR Connect, HR Consultants, and Labor/Employment counsel as appropriate.

• Demonstrate service excellence and positive interpersonal relations with caregivers, internal and external customers to maximize productivity and service delivery.

• Respond timely to complex questions, researching appropriate information and soliciting SME input as needed.

• Escalate issues through a formalized process within HR Consulting and other business partners.

• Resolve core leader and caregiver concerns through various employment life cycle steps.

• Advise core leaders on HR policies, procedures, and protocols.

• Apply extensive knowledge of compliance and legal requirements relevant to the position's scope.

• Use critical thinking and strategic methodology to develop innovative service delivery solutions and lead small projects as needed.

• Ensure compliance with confidentiality policies in accordance with State and Federal laws.

• Demonstrate strong communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written communication.

• Educate and influence caregivers and leaders effectively.

• Apply extensive knowledge of employee relations principles, including Federal and State employment laws, organizational policies, and collective bargaining agreements.

• Act as a trusted advisor during key moments throughout the employment life cycle, providing a personalized and effective experience during employee relations situations.

• Maintain balance between caregiver and core leader relationships.

Acts as trusted personal advisor to core leaders and caregivers during "Moments that Matter" throughout the employment life-cycle. The goal is to provide a personalized and effective experience during situations which require employee relations expertise. Accountable for timely and effective response, management and resolution of Employee Relations concerns and investigations. Applies critical thinking and high touch customer service to resolve basic Employee Relations concerns. Ensures that all cases follow policy, and is compliant with applicable law. Performs all duties in a manner which demonstrates exceptional customer service, fosters a team concept and reflects the organizational values. Requires an effective and professional working relationship with all levels of the organization, including caregivers and core leaders. Provides advanced level of escalation support for department leaders and caregivers. Maintains balance between caregiver and core leader relationship.
